Hey there - thanks for posting such great security information for your customers and readers. We liked it so much, we posted about it over on our blog, too.
We also added you to our blogroll of Kryptonite dealer blogs. :)
Happy Spring!

Thanks, I found this information very helpful! I've avoided biking bc I didn't know what locks to use and how to use them. You answered all my questions!

thank you from toronto!

I had my bike, which was only three months old, stolen yesterday. They unbolted the bottom of a pole, very classic bike theft method. I thought my bike would be safe because it was such a busy street, in the middle of the day, and I was just around the corner, but the man who took it was experienced and fast. I am, to say the least, brokenhearted, and just wanted to remind bikers that it only takes a minute for your bike to be taken. I have always found Chicago bikers to be an amazing community to be part of and it saddens me to think that there are so many bikers who are riding stolen bikes!

U-locks are you best bet. It is a shame that bikes are the one of the most common items stole in the US. Our shop specializes in bike locks ranging from your 10 dollar lock to the high end, top of the line lock that can't be broken by a welder's torch (some exaggeration there)...check out or shop at http://www.bike-locks.com
