This is a very poor excuse for a bike rack.
It is at a local supermarket near my house. Note that the bikes parked there are not even locked.
I was unable to lock mine using a u-lock, because it would not reach from the rack to the frame of my bike.
Since the parking lot of this store is private property, the city will not install the regulation bike racks within its confines. Store management is not receptive to the idea of a good quality, commercially available, wave-style bike rack, which might cost a few hundred dollars, installed.
They just don't think enough cyclists shop at their store. Small wonder.
